  39. Some DMAC-02s have heat and timing problems (along with the Ramsey -04)
  40. which can cause SCSI weirdness with 040 cards. I had tried to get a GForce
  41. 040/40 working in my 3000, but had problems with SCSI lockups, presumably
  42. caused by this. According to various literature, the solution is either to
  43. swap the 02 with another, and hope the tolerances are higher, or swap both
  44. the DMAC and Ramsey with the 04/07 versions respectively, OR return the
  45. offending card and get one with its own SCSI host adapter, like a Warp
  46. Engine. Of course, wanting to do things the hard way, I opted for the
  47. latter solution. :P
